This tool lets you take a picture of your fabric and cuts it up into 3.75" triangles, and arranges them into hexes! (Mind you it doesn't account for seam allowance), but still it's pretty neat, even just to play with.

Hello,
I am reaching out to quilters like you to let you know about my book, Walking Foot Quilting Designs.
Do you want the satisfaction of completing your quilts on your own and you don’t enjoy free motion quilting or simply want other options? Walking foot quilting is the answer. Each time I teach Modern Quilting With the Feed Dogs Up, someone suggests I need to write a book. When I got the same suggestion while teaching at Quilt Canada 2016, I decided to do just that.
Visit my website www.melissamarginet.ca for more information or to order your copy. If you wish to order several copies through your guild or group I can offer discounted or free shipping.
Melissa Marginet - Quilter - Home
www.melissamarginet.ca
I grew up next door to my wonderful grandmother, Louise (Hutlet) Marginet (1903-2001), near Bruxelles, Manitoba and I credit her for a great start to my creative life.

Walking Foot Quilting Designs is a collection of dozens of quilting designs with variations and combinations to give you over 100 ideas for quilting your own quilt on your home sewing machine.
The designs are created for the walking foot but can also be used for free motion quilting, long arm quilting, and hand quilting.
The book measure 5.5" x 7", a nice carry along size that won't take up much room beside your sewing machine as you refer to it when quilting your quilt, and the spiral binding will ensure it stays open to the page you want.

Happy Quilting!
                                                                                Melissa Marginet

This is a story from the Ricky Timms newsletter that he just published about a new quilter from Edmonton who won a scholarship to one of Ricky’s seminars. Pretty cool story and might be inspirational to new quilters in the guild.

Received from a fellow quilter in Australia:
Good Morning,
My name is Rose Lewis and I am from Australia. I am an award winning quilt / textile artist.
I have a blog/website and I was wondering if there is anyone from your guild that would be nterested in following someone from Australia.
It is often nice to learn about the different way that people live and do things in other countries.

If anyone is interested then they are able to just log on for a look,or if they choose to join up with me for FREE, then they will receive a FREE E-BOOK  for “HOW TO DO TRAPUNTO”, followed up with a weekly e-mail each Wednesday.
This is a technique that I master in, and Applique is my other big love.
