Suzanne Neilson - For the Love of Textiles
This presentation traces Suzanne’s journey in quilting from early inspirations. Her on-going love of vintage fabrics was further enriched during her five years in Japan where antique markets in shrines and temples allowed her to collect wonderful indigo blue and silk kimono fabrics. The symbols and images of Japan are a recurring theme in many of her quilted pieces.

Come and enjoy the Ontario Heartland Chorus, a group of women who love to sing 4 part harmony, barbershop style. Their Director, Jan-Ake Westin, brings many talents to the Chorus, as an arranger, male barbershop judge and long time singer of 4 part harmony.
We will hear a voice-balanced Chorus and quartet.

Through my trunk show of traditional and modern quilts, I'll try to explain this new phenomenon ans its links to traditional quilt making. I'm a member of Niagara Heritage Quilter's Guild and a founding member of the Niagara Modern Quilt Guild, and have been quilting for 34 years.
