October 2019 – Martha Schellingerhoud – Martha’s Mini
Come and explore the world of miniature quilts. Have you wanted to learn what exactly a miniature quilt is? Perhaps you are confused about the difference between a small quilt and a miniature quilt? During this up close and personal trunk show the audience will be equipped with gloves and then will get the chance to hold and examine each of my miniature pieces of art. The audience will also learn the tools of the trade that are needed to make these quilts. This show is a must see for any quilter.

Appliqué quilts are among the most beautiful, jaw-dropping, crowd-pleasing and award-winning of all quilts. This lecture is all about appliqué. December is a month of festivities – Christmas, Hannukka, Ashura, Kwanzaa, etc. As such, the Mississauga Quilter’s Guild Inc. invites you to a Holiday Concert by Jeremy Stimers and Jenn Taylor - a unique and energy-filled duo. Some may want to bring dancing shoes and feel free to request a song or two.

Bill Stearman claims he is too new to quilt making to store quilts in a trunk but has enough to store in a Backpack! He also claims he is just a guy who likes to make quilts and tell stories. March 5, 2020 – Picking up the Thread between Quilting and Coaching – Marie-Claire Charette
After spending 32 years in leadership development, Marie-Claire is now indulging in her other passion – sewing and quilting. Through this passion, she can create, learn, challenge herself and most importantly connect with others. A quilting teacher, Marie-Claire is known as La Quilting Coach. Visit her website here.
April 2, 2020 – Sampler Quilts and Collage Quilts – Nancy McCracken
Nancy started her quilting career at age 40. With Jill Petit as her mentor, she learned piecing, paper piecing , appliqué, persistence and stamina.
Nancy have won several quilting awards which includes a group award of excellence and individual award from CQA.
