I have a double/queen quilting frame that has never been used. It was made in Nova Scotia. It was given to me but, due to hand issues, I can’t use it. It is free to a good home.
Would any of your members be interested?
I am in the Mineola area of Mississauga.

 Donations for Threads of Love

MQG Members Anne Stark and Pat Dubrick will collect fabric donations for Threads of Love at the Faith Missionary Church, in Wasaga Beach for an initiative to sew mattresses and children’s items for those in developing countries that are in need of the basic necessities.
They knit pneumonia vests, hats, booties for infants; sew quilts (no batting),
dresses for girls, shorts for boys, bags to hold rice, cotton sanitary products etc. ; mattress get woven together using plastic milk bags,

Anne and Pat would like to ask their fellow guild members if they have items that could be used for this worthy cause.
Dropoff bins will be available at the February and March meeting. They can use any fabric, cotton, cotton/polyester, Crimplene etc.  Cotton sheets and duvet covers are used to back quilts etc.  Crimplene is used for boys shorts because it wears so well. Wool for knitted products, lace, bias tape, cording for dresses, bibs and shorts.  Batting or pillow filling for Teddy Bears.  They don't use elastic products because they deteriorate too quickly.
Contact Anne Chreptak:  anne572@icloud.com if you have further questions.
